By winning his game in the last round vJ. , a l an d chess championship. AA ade (W ellington 1 retains his title for another year. He scored 10 points, made np of nine wins and two draws. The runner-up was Lepviikman (Wellington), whose aggregate of nine points was made un of nine wins and rwo losses. J. A. Moir (Auckland) was third with 84 points, and M Stewart (Christchurch) next with 7*. The other .scores were: Keindler 6*. Fletcher and Belton 44 (each with one game adjourned). Kelling 4 (one game adjourned). Meyer 4. Adkins 3. M•'•Sherry 1* (one game adjourned), and Webling. 1. In the major open tournev N. T. Fletcher (Wellington) won with 84 points. Sergeant D R. Richards (Auckland) being the runner-up with eight points.
