N.Z. MUNITIONS CONTRACTS
TAKEN OVER BY CANADA
(Rec. 12.10 p.m.) Ottawa, Jan. 4. An Order-in-Council published today disclosed that Canada has assumed the financial obligation for all munitions contracts held by New Zealand in Canada at Ist July, 1944. and subsequently. The cost is estimated to exceed 1,500.000 dollars and the expenditure will come under the mutual aid programme.
