CONSTRUCTION OF SHIPS
BIG U.S. PROGRAMME

Vice-Admiral Land, chairman of the Maritime Commission, told a press conference that the American 1945 building programme called for the construction of 2260 ships totalling 13.000.000 deadweight tons with 9,000,000 tons within-six months.
