We can conscientiously recommend those suffering rom deafness or other ailments that Dr. Grant his made a special study of, to pay him a visit, when,i( curable patients, they m»y certainly expect relief. An instance came under our notice on Xtmrs'lay.l n the caso of a man named Charles Swanßon, who has been very deaf for threo years, but, after ten days' treatment, can now hear perfectly oven the lowest whisper. The cure is a rather remarkablo one, as he ad been under tho care of many medical men, but baa received no benefit whatever, from their treatment.—New Ztalander, December 27,1579. Mr. Ernest D'Ervilla Mictiau called at our ofilco yesterday, and stated that he had been blind w th the right eye all his lifetime. Hearing about Dr. Grant and Professor Wallonburjf, the oculists, who aro now ou a visit to this city, he determined to give them a trial. He had only been under Dr. Grant's treatment ten or elevon days when ho found that he could sec largo objects at somo distance. Mr. Michau stated that he had been under tha treatment of some of tho best modical men at home, but had not received the loaat benefit. We aro at all times chary of accopting details of *' Wonderful cures," but tne young man who called at our office appeared to be tolling the truth, and waß exceedingly grateful to Dr. Grant for tho relief which ho has already «xporlenced. — New Zetland Times, 25th December, I&T3. AN ACKNOWLEDGMENT. Dr. Grant is also Specialist in tho Dlsoases ol Women and Children. Dr. Grant has recently effected a very remarkablo cure in the case of Mis. D. Rvans, of Kumarn, who has been under his treatment for deafness Bince the 14th Febrnary last. Mis. Evans has boen deaf in both ear* for a very long period—no than thirty years—her affliction having been caused by a fever, from which she suffered severoly. Slnco that time she has been almost totally deaf, for she could only hear the loudest sounds, rince she has been under Dr. Grant's treatment her hearing has graduallly improved, so that now Bhe can hoar plainly conversition in an ordinary tone of voice. She will return in a few days to Kumara perfectly well, and in possession cf the full faculty of which she has been so long deprived.—Wett Coast Time*, 10th March, 1880. One of the employees In the Public Works office here has sent us the following testimonial to the skill of Dr. Grant. He says " I wisrt to let you know that Dr. Grant has greatly Improved tho hearing of one ef my ears, tho membrano of which was injured somo Bii years ago. I may add that two surgeons whom I consulted a short time ago considered tho enso incurable." Dr. Grant has also been vory succ ssfui in several difficult cases of disease of thu eye.—Hokitika Times, 23rd March, 1830. There are amongst Dr. Grant's successful oye cases at Hokltika. h young lady, at J. Jack's, Esq.. tho Mayer, cured, by operation, of squinting ; and Mrs. Wavont, operation for artificial pupil.
