She will probably leave again f«r Waitara about the and of tha week. The p.s. Comerang is about to be put in commission again, having been laid up for about eight moritha. She is now alongside the Qnehunga wharf undergoing an overhaul, after which she will proceed round to Auckland, via the Bay of Islands. We hear that she has been Purchased by an Auckland firm, and is intended or the cattle trade en the East Coast, The barque W. C. Wentworth arrived at Sydney on the 24th. The bnrqme Loch Fleet sailed from London for this port .on August 26. The s.g. Argyle steamed for Whangarei at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon.
The Union S.S. Co,'a s.s. Rotomahana arrived from Melbourne and East Coast ports about 7 o'clock yesterday morning. We are indebted to the purser, Mr. L. C. Miller, for latest files and the following report:—Left Melbourne on the 24th nit., and Hobart Town on tho 26th; arrived at the Bluff on the 30th, and loft again on the evening of the same day; left Port Chalmers on the 2nd, Lyttelton on the 3rd. Wellington 4th, Napier sth, Gisborne 6th, arriving as above. The Rotomahana left again for Sydney and Russell at 5 p.m. yesterday. The brig Vision left Oamaru for this port yesterday, with a cargo of breadstuffs. _ • The barque Elvira left Newcastle for Kaipara on the 26th ult.
The brigantine Myrtle entered out at the Customs yesterday for the Friendly Islands. The barque Loch Doon entered out at the Customs for London yesterday. The barque Scottish Lassie entered out yesterday at the Customs for San Francisco. The brigantine Anthons sailed_ yesterday for Kaipara, where she 'will load with timber for Dunedin.
The following weather telegram was received from Wellington yesterday Bad weather approaching from between south-east, east, find north. Expect further fall of glass, and probably much rain." The brigantine Magellan Cloud proceeds to Kaipara, where she will load with timber for Lyttelton. The brigantiue Rhoderick Dhu arrived at Dunedin on Saturday from Mercury Bay, and will load with breadstuffs for this port. The brigantine Oceola will leave Adelaide for this port about Friday or Saturday with a cargo of breadstuffs.
The s.s. Glenelg arrived from Tauranga yestorday morning, with the following cargo : — 128 sacks maize, 124 sacks kauri gum, 70 bales hay, 3 horses, 9 pigs. The returns thither at 5 o'clock this afternoon.
The barque Clara Hargrave has boen floated off the bank at Kaipara, but not without the loss of one, if not both, her anchors, likewise some damage to her rudder. The brig Emperor is announced to sail for Whangaroa on Friday.
