■A meeting of theHutt Valley Trotting Club was held at the Provincial Hotel,' Upper Hutt, on Saturday evening. Mr E. Wilkie presided. Among the correspondence received were letters from tbe Colonial Secretary, Dr Purdy, Mr H. Itoy> uolds and others, of a highly complimentary character. , Eeferenco was made t« the : unfortunate accident which befell tbe club's president, Mr T. M. Wilford, and hopes of his speedy recovery were; expressed. It was decided to call in all, lists and outstanding Messrs McGovern, E. Wilkie, with the secretary; were appointed to collect and receive them. After tbe usual coinplh ment 'to the chairman, the meeting cone eluded.
