DUNE DIN MARKETS. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report aa follows for the week ending November 16fch :— _ Fat Cattle.—2oo were yarded, a considerable number being really prime. The demand was fairly active, but as butchers had some in hand from last week values were from 5s to 103 lower than last week. Best bullocks, L 10; good, L 8 10s to L 9 10s; medium, L 7 10s to L 8; light, L 5 103 to 16 10a; best) cows, L 7 10s to L 9; medium, L 6 to L 7 ; aged and light, L 4 to L 5 10s. Fat Sheep.—Only 1737 were penned. Thin, following the small entry of last week, caused a sharp rise. Butchers were completely out, and the whole yarding sold at an advance of 2s per head on last week. Best crossbred wethers, 17s to 19s; two extra heavy pens, 20s 6d ; medium, 15s to 16s 6d ; light, 12s to 14s 6d ; best ewes, 17s to 18s 3d ; medium, 14s 6d to 16s 6d ; light, 10a to 13s 6d. Fat Lambs. —298 were penned. Best, 103 6d to 12s; one or two, 12a 6d to 13s 6d; good, 9s to 10s; medium and small, 7s 6d to 8s 6d.
Wheat.—There is some inquiry for prime northern, velvet; and Tuscan, but otherwise the market is lifeless, second-clas3 milling being practically unsaleable except as fowl feed price. Prime northern velvet, 3s lid to 4s ; do Tuscan, 3s 9d to 3s lOd ; prime southern velvet. 3s 9d to 3s lOd ; fowl feed, good whole, 2s 9d to 23 lid ; broken aid inferior, 23 3d to 2s 7d (sacks in, terms). Oats.—Owing to millers having sufficient stocks of milling oats on hand for present requirements, the demand for this class of oats is extremely small, while feed sorts have declined about id per bushel for the week. Quotations: Sntherlands, 2s to 2s Id; good to best feed. Is lOd to Is lid; fair to medium, Is 9Jd to Is lOd ; discolored and inferior, Is 6d to is Sd (sacks extra, net).
