INTERPROVINCIAL NEWS.
(BY TELEGRAPH. J (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) mVERCARGILL. November 19. A married man named George Taylor was fined L 6 18s, including costß, for betting with boyß at the Winton races. BLUFF November 19. Arrived—Frank Guy, barquentine, from Newcastle. Sailed—Hinemoa, steamer, for Wellington. NELSON. November 18. A young man named Frank Lloyd was shot at the H Battery instruction camp this afternoon with a revolver. The bullet passed right through the body, and was picked up some distance away. The young man was taken to the hospital, and died late to-night. Deceased was, with the exception of tbe cook, alone in the camp. He had no business in the tent where the revolvers were kept. The revolvers were kept unloaded, and deceased must have opened a trunk to get the ammunition. One discharged and one undischarged cartridge were found in the weapon. Deceased made a statement that he fired the shot himself, and that it was not an accident. Deceased was about 18 years of age.
