HOME AND FOREIGN CABLES.
(By Electric Tei/egraph—Oopyeight?.) (PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Received November 21, at 1.150 p.m. London, November 20. Mr R. C. Drew, a director of the Grosvenor Hotel Company, has agreed to repay the Company L 65,000. In August last the shareholders sued the directors, on the ground that the defendants conspired to defraud the shareholders by enabling Drew, a butcher and provision dealer, to supply the hotel from his own or other shops in which he was interested at exorbitant prices, and to charge for goods not supplied. It was alleged that Drew was largely preponderant in the shareholders of the Company, and the other directors were his nominees or creatures. The jury found that conspiracy and instances of improper dealing were proved. Subsequently proceedings were taken which led to the investigation and rearrangement of the Company's affairs.
