(by telegbaph.) (per pbess association.) WELLINGTON. November 21. In the Divorce Conrt Charles Johnson obtained a decree nisi against hia wife and Patrick Slatherly, co-respondent. Constance Nicholls has been committed for trial for throwing vitriol over her husband. Low bail was allowed. Although it rained freely in the night, no farther slips came down, and through traffic was resumed to-day. AUCKLAND. November 20. Information has been received that exConstable Scotfc, concerned in the Albion Hotel episode, has been reappointed to the police at Napier. Passengers by the Mararoa state that it is rumored in Sydney that 400 more Austrians are coming to Auckland. The body of a man, supposed to be that of Hartley, was seen by Borne fishermen floating between Motuihi and Kaneitoto. Owing to heavy weather they could not recover it. The man who fell off the Kaipara train still lies in a state of unconsciousness. His name is said to be Williams. NAPIER. November 21. Mr G. H. Swan has been elected as Mayor unopposed for the fourteenth year in succession. Charles Watkins, aged 72, was found dead in his room at the City Buffet. At an inquest a verdict that death was due to failure of the heart's action was returned.
