Show Horse Sale.

Mr B. P. Bnrbnry (on behalf of the, New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company) reports that they held their annual ahow sale of horses at Tattersall's Yards en Saturday, when they offered a catalogue of afaoat sixty draughts and some twenty huflra and harness horses. There was a verylarge attendance of farmers and others interested, including buyers from South Canterbury and' South Otago. It was generally admitted all round that _ the majority of the draught horse? submitted ffgra the beat seen in the yards for some considerable time, and the particulars given below will serve to show that the sale was one of the most successful held in Oamaru for some years. There was a spirited demand for good young draughts, and when Mr Cruickshank obtained record prices for two of Ms geldings from North Canterbury, excitement ran high, and Mr Donald Simpson, who secured the four-year-old gelding. Major, at L 56, was congratulated on all sides on hiß purchase, which is a truly magnificent animal. Several of the horses entered were prizetakers at the Show the previous day. Among the entries were seventeen draught mares and geldings, brought from North Canterbury by Mr Wm. Cruickshank, and ihe farmers of North Otago have every reason to thank Mr Cruickshank for enabling them to secure such first-class animals. The following are the particulars of the principal sales :
