FULLER'S; PICTURES

-There was a /fairly large attendance at the Opera House'on. Saturday even-, ing, and a fair number, witnessed the> matinee, screening". Ihe programme was excellent throughout, the star film, "When the Men Left Town," being- a comedy of much merit. Honoria Dawlev was- elected Mayoress of the town. Ail the men's little .pleasures—such as drinking and smoking—were legislated against. The men held : a meeting, and decided to leave the.town entirely to the ladies. The fair sex set out,to prove that men wen: "unnecessary. Thev did the Corporation work —at least thev imagined.it was easy. The whole, story was a shriek of laughter. The supporting numbers, included "She Gave Him a Rose," "Topical Budget," "11m Padrone's Plot" (an excellent drama), "For King and Country," "Girl at the KeT." Mr Meldrum successfully under-, took the: musical accompaniment. '_ -'.HAYWARD'S PICTURES." There was a large attendance at the" Picture Palace oil Saturday evening,. and there should be a, large number present to-night,' when the new programme will be screened for the first time. Iceman,?' is a Kalem eomedy, of the ridiculous, topsy--turvv nature. .'The',star'film gives a powerful dramatisation of Grace Lutz's popular novel, "The Best Mail." The. story is one which reverberates with excitement 'from start' to finish,' and in which plot and ' counter-plot'-are very cleverly, worked out. The acting leaves nothing to be ,'desired, and .the' iv.ork o'.' Mare M'Dei'jnott in the. leading rob,; is the 'feature' of tlie production.
