The third qualifying round; for handicaps was played on Thursday and Saturday fast under favorable conditions. With, two exceptions, the play was not up to expectations. Messrs Travis and Chithbertsou put in the be=.t cards. 81 and 82 respectively. Tile next" match will be a bogov to be played on Thursday for Mr Banks' trophy.
