Sydney, May 10. The Premier's Conference discussed various steps in connection with the proposed strategic railways and resolved that, w 7 lu'le recognising their importance and anxious to help the Commonwealth in the matter, they desired to avoid unprofitable duplication of existing lines. Therefore the best inof all would be served by an immediate conference of railway commissions and military authorities to report to the Commonwealth and State Governments.
