LAWN TENNIS

THE TOKOTORU CLUB The annual meeting of the Tokotoru Lawn Tennis Club was held at Trinity Church, the president (Mr R. B. Mason) being in the chair. The report and balance sheet were presented, and showed the club to be in a sound position. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Patron, the Rev. Basil Metson; president, Mr R. B. Mason: vicepresidents—Dr Lyth. Messrs C. Roberts. G. S. Gapper, H. Wilson, S. Lawn, A. McDougall and Mrs Hewitt: secretary. Mrs Watson Paterson; assistant secretary. Miss Lille Churchill; treasurer, Miss Mina Smith; club captain, Mr J. I. Stevenson: deputy club captain. Miss Phyllis Ruston; committee —Mrs Basil Metson, Miss Betty Rennick, Miss Amy Gapper and Mr G. Ferguson; delegates to 0.L.T.U., Messrs Stevenson and Ferguson. The opening day was fixed for Saturday next.
