CLOUDY TO OVERCAST Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago covering the ensuing 24 hours was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington;— Northerly to north-westerly winds, fresh or strong at times; weathercloudy to overcast, with occasional rain in the western high country, and some scattered falls extending to the east; temperatures moderate. Further Outlook.—Westerly winds; mainly fair. Weather in Dunedin.—The weather in Dunedin yesterday was fine, some sunshine being recorded. Heavy rain fell at night. The temperatures during the day were mild, the maximum recorded being 56 degrees. The barometer dropped slightly and the midnight reading was 29.66 inches (1004 millibars).
