i ! At a meeting held last night it wa; i decided to form a ladies' dance comI mittce and to hold weekly dances, I commencing Thursday, sth July, in aid 'of the meeting-house. The following were elected as a Committee: —Chairwoman, Mrs Moa Etekia; Treasurers, Mesdames Heperi and W. King; Hon. Secretary, Mrs H. Ransiield; Committee, Mesdames Ransfield (2), King (2), Winterburn (2), Wallace, Taratoa, Grey, Hakaraia, Heperi, Etekia, Hamahona, Arekatera and Enoka. At the conclusion of the meeting a hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr Kehu Hakaraia for the use of the piano.
