FIRST OPEN COMPETITION. “Black Knat” announces that there was a strong north-west gale at Lumsden on Saturday when the first open competition was held. The river, however, was in fair order. There were 17 competitions and 11 weighed in. The lure was optional. The total catch was 100, weighing 17041b5. The heaviest fish (s}lbs) was secured by B. Currie.
