The Government paddle-steamer Sturt, Captain Fairchild, was despatched by the Postmaster General, from Wellington, on Sunday, with the Panama mails for Wanganui, Taranaki, and Auckland. She entered the river yesterday morning and stuck at the Bluff but managed to reach the wharf by nine o’clock. She left again at noon for the other ports.
