[COMPILED FOR THE WANGANUI CHRONICLE.] MAILS FOB ENGLAND. Mails for America and Europe, via Panama, are despatched from Wellington on the Bth of every month (mails closing in Wanganui on the Wednesday or Saturday afternoon, not less than two days preceding that date, or later by steam communication), to arrive at Panama on tiie sth, and mails to arrive in London on the 30tli of the following month.—Time, 52 days. Mails for A ustralia and Europe, via Suez, by way of Marseides or Southampton, are despatched from Wellingtcu on the 17th of each mouth (mails closing m Wanganui on the Wednesday or Saturday afternoon, not later than two days preceding that date, or later by steam communication), to arrive at Melbourne on the 27th, and in London, via Marseilles, on the 12bli ; and via Southampton on the 18th of the following mouth. —Time : via Marseilles, about 55 days ; via Southampton, about 60 days.
MAILS FROM ENGLAND. Mails close in London for New Zealand and tlie Australian colonies, via Panama, on the 2nd of every month ; being despatched by West India Mail Packet, to arrive at the Isthmus of Panama on the 24th; hence by P.N.Z. & A. R, M. Co’s steamers, due in Wellington on the 21st. Mails close in London for the Australian colonies and New Zealand on the 20th of every mouth, via Southampton ; and on the 2oth via Marseilles, to arrive iu Wellington on the 23rd of the following month. A notification has been issued by the General .... -W£tera~p7>sfeS' I~iii England for New Zealand will be forwarded via Panama, unless specially directed via Suez.
