"VJOTICE is hereby given that thefolX lowing By-law has been dvly made by the Wanganui Borough Council, and will come into force on the 19th day of November. 1881 : — BY-LAW No. 15. (Prohibiting the keeping of Swine within certain parts of the Borough.) In pursuance of the powers vested in them by Sections 389 and 849, subsection (6), subdivision (a) of " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1876," and of all other powers vested in them by the said Act and By-law, the Borough Council of Wanganui ordains as follows :— I. — So much of Regulation No. 3 of the said Borough Council as enacts that it shall not be lawful to keep any Swine within the limits of Cook's and Queen's Wards, in the Borough of Wanganrr, is hereby repealed. II. — It shall not be lawful to keep any Swine within that part of the Borough of Wanganvi which lies between the General Government line of Railway and the Wanganui River, on the side next the said river. 111. — Every person who shall offend against the foregoing Clause of this By-law shall be liable for every such offence to a penalty not exceeding five pounds. IV. — This By-law shall not come into operation until the 19th day of November, 1881. Passed by the Council of the Borough of Wanganni, on the 27th day of September, 1881.
