AUCKLAND, September 20. The reply made by the Premier in the House of Representatives to the question, drawing his jatteiition ."bo: the ■grievanyes of the railway Employees was submitted yesterday, to several members ; of t!He a'aihray staff,; and eonis interesting rejoinders "were made. The general impression seemed -to-prevail that the Premier had failed to-gi-asp the ).eal position, and, although a number of additional men were seen, not one was found to suggest there had been the slightest exaggeration iii the statements of: the men previously published, seveivu remarking: "The"case for the employees .was put m<#t fairly, and the Premiers ! statement in tile' Houso was-no reply at i all to it."
