At our horse fair on Saturday, 14lh instant, about 200 'horses were offered. The attendance was good and bidding free for most of th© horses offered. We
disposed of the greater portion of the entry at satisfactory prices.. At "VVangamui stock sale on the 18th instant we had a yarding of 970 mixed ■cattle, 3300 sheep, and1 160 pigs. The cattle on th)a> whole ware a good coloured lot, and with tihe exception of a few pent? we disposed of the bulk of the entry- Sheep met a ready sale, fat wethers bringing ias high as 28s 9d. All other lines were disposed of before the day closed1 at satisfactory prices. Competition for pigs was keen, and sold at full market values. At Waverley on the 20th instant we had a yarding of 500 cattle and 550 sheep. A good attendance of buyers were present, and flb-idding was free throughout, all the yarding, with the exception of a few odd pens, being sold at prices in vendors' favour. "We quote:— A'fc Horse Sale.—Best draughts (trial) £38 to £41, good draughts £29 to £33, plough horses £18 10s to £21 10s. aged draughts £15 to £20, spring-carters £13 10s to £17 10s, trap and buggy ditto £9 15s to £12 10s, extra good up to £16, good hacks £13 to £14, medium hacks £7 5s to £10 10s, others £3 10s to £6 10s, unbroken horses—good draughts £23 to £31, half draughts £13 2s 6d to £20, well-bred hacks £8 10s to £12, others £4 to £6 10s, geldings and fillies by Suffolk Punch, best £14 to £15, medium ditto £11 to £13 10s, others £10 to £10 10s.
