Dymock, last season's hon. secretary, for his services, and a like compliment to the chairman, and the meeting closed. ANNUAL REPORT. The annual report for the season was as follows:— Your committee beg to submit the annual report for the season 1906-7. As all members are aware, the season was late in starting, owing to various causes, chief among them being th© late cup fixtures. However, the club managed to enter two teams for the senior championship, which wasl won by our B team, after various close and exciting games with the College 1., who extended thehn most. The B team are to be heartily congratulated on winning the championship, for they have stood well together and have rolled uip in force at all matches. In batting in cup matches, H. B. Cave heads the list with an average of 40 in the A team, while W. M. Luxford tops the B team with an average of 21.5. In bowling in the A team, A. Howard secured the best average obtaining 8.6; in the B team, F. G. Holland heads the list with ian average of 9.3. It is greatly to be regretted that the club could not get together a junior team during the past season. We hope that this state of affairs will be altered during the coming season. The chief event of the season was undoubtedly the visit of the Marylebone Cricket Club to "Wangairu; although as far as Wanganui was concerned the game resulted in an easy win for the visitors. In this match four members of the club had' the honour to be chosen to represent the Wanganmi district, viz.. Messrs. Luxfo'rd, A. Howard, F. G. Holland, and H. A. Joyce, who no doubt have gained experience by meeting superior players. In representative matches with other districts, the club was strongly represented
The finances of the club are in a satisfactory condition, taking into consideration the fact that the club carried a liability of £8 odd from the previous season (on account of the late Empire Club). A small1 credit balance is in hand to commence the season. Mention must here be made of the subscriptions at present outstanding, amounting to about £7. This is not as it should be. The committee again asks those oliayers responsible for this to become financial at the first opportunity. Your hon. treasurer (Mr. Joyce) will
submit the balance-sheet in detail. In conclusion, your committee expresses the opinion that there is every prospect of the coming season being most successful, provided that each and every member takes a real live interest in tfio club.
