Afc the Marton Bowling Tournament, in the pairs, Jones and Glasgow (Wan' XX5 } Bdl aud Beckett (Marton) 20-16, m the first round, and Paterspn and Paterson (St. John's) beat Woolley and Holdaway (Marton ni ,n the SGCOIId round Jones and Glasgow beat J. McEldowney and Hunt Marton) 14-12, and Paterson and Paterson 32 defeated Ratcliff and lnnes (Feilding) 4. Paterson and Paterson in the third round beat the Wangamu pair by 10 to 5, and in the 4th round they defeated Bell and Brockett (Marton) 16—14, and James and Glasgow beat Currie and Gilbertson (Feilding) 20-6. The play-off for the final was between the veteran players— Paterson and Paterson—and Sutcliffe and Sharpe (Marton), who had each won four games. The St. John's pair were successful, and thus won the tourney.
