LOST— From Waitotara, last Thursday, two Light Harness Horses (geldings), 1 bay, fairly tall, and one black, blind in one eye; when lost had a rope around neck. Last seen on th** road between Kai Iwi and Wanganui, heading for the latter place. Both horses shod all round. Anyone found illegally detaining horses will be prosecuted. On Ist and nd January Special Train Avil leave Wanganui 6.20 a.m. for Hawera and Stratford, returning from Stratford 5 :50 p.m. for Wanganui. SPORTS AT HAWERA. For spe-cial train to Hawera on January Ist see under Stratford races. On Ist January the usual 3.50 p.m. train will be delayed to leave Wanganui at 4.50 p.m., and run an hour later than usual to Hawera. For further particulars see posters.
