DALGETY AND CO.'S STOCK REPORT.
At Wanganui, on the 2nd inst., we had a medium yarding of sheep and cattle. The demand was inclined to be slack.
At Waverley, on the 4th inst., cattle came forward in excess' of .advertised numbers. There was a quiet demand under the hammer, but we made a good clearance. Quotations: —
Wanganui. —Mixed age shorn ewes and lambs (all counted) 7s od, fat and forward maiden ewes 11s, good woolly hoggets Us sd, cull shorn hoggets 4s lOd, forward empty cows £3 17s 6d, empty 2-year heifers 40s, Shorthorn bull 5 guineas. , Waverley.—3 to 4-year bullocks £4 I£g 6d, yearling steers 3os, springing hcifei/s £4 4s, store cows £2 14s to £2 los 6cl, mixed weaners 20s, small weancr pigs 12s.
