(Per Press Association.)
DUNEDIN, January <$. Last night all the persons engaged in connection with the recount met in Mr D. Larnach's (Returning Officer) office, the two detectives in question being present. The document which'is alleged to have been communicated to one of the candidates was produced, and gay« rise to a considerable amount of discussion and explanation by some of those present. It is said that the officials concerned in the inquiry have satisfied themselves as to how, when, and by whom the papers were abstracted.
