LONDON, December 3. Arrived—Ruapehu, from the Bluff. Sailed—Andromeda and Marere, for WELLINGTON, Sunday. Arrived—Stormbird (12.20 p.m.), Kapiti (4.45 p.m.), from Wanganui. SYDNEY, Sunday. Sailed—-Marama', MELBOURNE, Sunday. Arrived—Ulimaroa.
The Moa and Kapiti both arrived from Westport on Saturday morning. The Kapiti discharged" her cargo at the Heads, and then came up to town. Sue and the Stormbird sailed early yesterday morning for Wellington. The Moa sailed for Westport yesterday morning. The Storm arrived by the eruiy tide yesterday morning. The Star of Scotland is due in the roadstead to-morrow One of the local carters, Mr John Harvey, had a very narrow escape last week. v He was loading wool, when one of the bales, swinging,, knocked him out of the cart on to the wharf, whei'e he landed on th» back of . his neck. The consequences might have been S3rious, but he has only been inconvenienced with a stiff neck.
