ABRAHAM AND WILLIAMS'
REPORT,
Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on Marton sale on Tuesday:—A good yarding of both sheep and cattle came 'forward, prices being well maintained " throughout. Quotations: Ewes and lambs from Maunder estate were put up in four lots, the 2, 4, 6, and f.f.m. ewes with 100 per cent. Southdown lambs realised 22s 6d; 2, 4, and 6 tooth with 85 per cent, lambs made 20s 9d, 225, and 235; a nice line of 398 wether hoggets in wool made 15s 6d, others 12s lid, 13s Bd, shorn fat wethers 12s 2d, small woolly do. 15s 9d, shorn fat ewes 9s, 10s, f.f.m. shorn ewes with 90 per cent. Shropshire lambs all counted. 7s. Cattle :—ls months steers £2 12s 6d, 15-months heifers £2 os, mixed yeairlings 27s to £2 lls, yearling heifers 28s, fat cows £3 12s, £4 Is 6d, springing heifer £2 16s, empty heifers £2 18s. cows in milk £4 10s. springing cow £4 7s 6d. Pigs, in good demand, porkers 295, weaners 13s to 16s, slips 18s 6d. ' .
