LABOURITES AND LIBERALS.

LONDON, December

Mr Henderson, speaking at Sheffield, indignantly denied any part in the Liberals' general election. He only expected an election in 1911, and the Labour Party was simply acting from the standipoiivty of organisation and money. It would be unable in some cases to fight successfully, therefore some few cadidates would be withdrawn. There was no proposal from tho other side for a deal. Mr J. A. Peace's (Secretary t.o the Treasury) suggestion imlpied the surrender or the withdrawal of nearly all the new candidates. Needless to say, that would nob bo done. If. the Liberals were anxious to avoid hopeless contests they should follow the Labour Party's example.
