The Senat3 has practically strangled tlie> Northern Territory Acceptance Eill. The stumbling block was the construction of the railway.
Mr Dfiakin, Premier, promised to uso his influence-to see that the Bill is not wholly lost, even for this session. Ha hoped it would not be long beforo tho territory was taken over by the Commonwealth.
