WANGANUI BOWLING CLUB.
On Thursday afternoon a match game was played for the Cohen " fern leaves " trophies. The holders, Mathison, Palmer, Ryan, and Muir (skip) scored 25 against the challengers, Newcombe, Brookfield, Greenwood, and Hams (skin) 9.
On Saturday seven full rink games were played, with the following results:
Rink 1. —Atkinson, Stewart, McCarthy, and Keesing (skip) scored 21 against Thomson, Nairn, T. Rankin, and Dickson (skip), Id.
Rink 2. —Parsons, Pettigrew, F. Jones, and Hoggard (skip) scored 16 against J. McFarlane, Carson, Collins, and Howorth (skip), 15.
Rink 3.—iSherriff, Newcombe, Saphir, and Cohen (skip), scored 29 against Nixon, Muir, McPhail, and Perrett (skip), 13. This game was for tho president and vice-president's trophies . Rink 4.—Palmer. Brookfield, Wright, and Milne (skip) scored 23 against James, John Stevenson, McMurray, and Fountain (skip) 15.
Rink 5. —Mathison, Battle, Graham, and W. Rankin (skip) scored 32 against Hiorns, V. Jones, London, and Wilding (skip) 11.
Rink 6. —Smith, Campbell, Cresswell, and Towsey (skip) scored 25 against Ryan, Braik, Bates, and Robertson (skip) 14.
Rink 7. —J. L. Stevenson, Murray, Bryce, and Foster (skip) scored 128 against Smyth. Greenwood, Hatherly, •aid Pawson (skip) 14.
President and Vice-President's Trophies.—The following is the draw for the second round: Harrison plays Towssy, Ross plays Rodwell, Rankin plays Dickson. Cohen a bye.

Players are reminded that the first round of all tournament games closes on December 17th, when the next round will be drawn. Unplayed games will be forfeited if neither side scratches.
