NEWTON KING'S WEEKLY REPORT.

On Friday last, th e 3rd instant, 1 held a very'successful sale of pedigree cattle, particulars of which have already been published. This was ray show sale of pedigree stock, and, owing to the ericouragment which I have received afc the hands of various venders I intend making this an annual sale to be held the day following the Taranaki Metropolitan Show. The success of this and .the .previous sale,, and the high prices of pedigree stock which rule in Taranaki should encourage vendors to offer their stock at.this sale.

At the Haymarket on Saturday, there was but a small yarding of pigs, but fair prices were realised. Weaners made 5s to Bs, stores 18s ,6d, porkers 235, horses £2 to £4. ss.

At Urenui on Monday there was a full .yarding of cattle, the yards beingtaxed to their utmost; the "attendance was good and bidding brisk, and practically everything was sold. Yearling steers n.ade 37s 6d to 445, yearling heifers 32s to 42s 6d, 18-months steers £2 10s to £2 245, 2-year steers £3 2s to £3 3s od, 2\ to 3-year bullocks £4 10s, 3 to 4-year bullocks £5 2s 6d, 4 to 5-year bullocks £5 10s, store cows £2 19s to £3 2s 6d forward cows £3 5s to £3 17s Od, fat cows £4 7s to £5 2s, 2-year empty heifers £2 15s 6d to £3 "6s 6d, springing heifers £3 to £4 13s, fat heifers" £3 19s 6d to £4 7s 6d, springing cows £3 to £4 7s 6d. bulls £2 11s 6d to £4. .

At Rahotu on Tuesday there was only a small yarding—Steerl c(alves made 255, yearling heifers 30s, store cows £2 os to £2 14s, forward cows £3 11s to £3 17s, empty heifers £2 11s 6d to £2 17.5, springing heifers £3 10s to £4 7s M, bulls £1 19s to £4 10s. At Stony River on Wednesday—l 2 to 15-months steors.36s 6d to 50s, yearling heifers 375, yearling Jersey strain 54s 6d, store cows £2 9s to £3 4s, forward coavs £3 9d to £3 17s, fat cows £4 5s empty heifers £2 17s, springing heifers £2 18s 6d to £3 ss, cows in milk £5 2s 6d, bulls. £2 lls to £4.

At Waiwakaiho, on Thursday, there was a good yarding of cattle, mostly saleable sorts.
