The articles .follow: "An agreement filtered into tin's day between Jack Toluison dud Janios J. Jeffries provides for the following :—

"First: They agree to box for the iionvy-wciulit championship of the world.

" Second : Bids for the contest must be submitted on December 1, ISO 9, at 3 p.m., at the Hotel Albany, New York city.

"Fourth: Each club, organisation, or person making a bid for this contest must have a representative on the ground who will post 5000 dollars in coin or certified cheque to make good any and all stipulations of his bid.

" Fifth: The referee is to be selected when the club bid is accepted.

" Sixth : It is hereby a-greed that the contest shall be of 45 rounds or more.

"Seventh: The purse shall be divided, 75 per cent, to the winner and 25 per cent, to the loser.

" Eight: Each 'contestant herewith posts with Robert P. Murphy, of New York, as temporary stakeholder, the sum of 10,000 dollars. Of this sum each posts 5000 dollars as a wager or side bet on the result of the contest, and 5000 dollars as a forfeit to guarantee compliance with these articles.

" Ninth: The contest shall take place not later than July 5, 1910. " Tenth: It is hereby understood and agreed that the contest shall bo fought under straight Marquis of Queensberry rules, and with ooz. gloves. "Eleventh: The final stake and forfeit holder is to be decided upon when' tho club is selected. N ! "Witness our hands and seals, this 29th day of October, 1909. "JAMES J. JEFFRIES. "JOHN ARTHUR JOHNSON." WILL SCOOP IN A LITTLE FIRST. Jeffries returned from Europe a week ago, and Johnson came East from Chicago yesterday for the meeting to-day. Both men have many theatrical offers, and both their managers said that they would probably "scoop in a little expense money" before going into the ring. Jeffries has been doing gymnasium work since his arrival here. JEFFRIES' OPERATION—BOB FITZSIMMONS' PUNCH. NEW YORK, October 26.—Jeffries visited a doctor to-day and had a fleshy growth in both ins nostrils removed. The doctor burned them out with an electric battery and wire, and Jeff said that for the first time in six years he could breathe without difficulty. Ever since his first fight with Bob 'Fitzsimmons, when Fitz hit him hard on the nose, there had been something the matter with his nostrils, but only to-day did he submit to an examination by a doctor.
