Received December 19, 5.5. p.m
LONDON, December 19
Mr Lloyd: George, speaking at Walworth, said that since the Budget was introduced trade had steadily improved, and the unemployed steadily declined. Imports and exports had risen. The rejection of the Budget was a conspiracy between the great manufacturers ancl landlord:; in order to increase the former'? profits and the latter's rents.
Mr Lloyd-George added: " The cloud is now lifting from the lowly and humble homes of the people, and a line day is coming. We now have the highest wages and the cheapest conditions of life in Europe."
