A FATAL MISTAKE.

CHRISTCHURCH, December 17. George Curtin, residing at 50 Windmill Road, was admitted to the Hospital yesterday evening, suffering from the effects of poison, which lie had taken by mistake. The unfortunate man died three hours after admission to the institution. Curtin went to his home yesterday afternoon and drank part of the contents of a jug, which happened to be on the table. He noticed s-omeithing peculiar about the taste of the liquid, and did not empty the jii.se. Shortly afterwards he was taken ill and was removed to the Hospital. Ho was then (juite conscious and explained that the liquid was probably a mixture for weed killing.
