DEATH FROM BURNS.

AUCKLAND, December IS

Tho wife of Mr J. W.'Knight was admitted to the Hospital some time ago suffering from burns caused by her clothing catching fire, Jait-i ensuing yesterday. At tho inquest Dr Thompson stated that Mrs Knight was suffering from extensive- burns to the right arm and side. On Wednesday skin-grafting became absolutely necessary, and was successftilly nerfcrmed, but later hemorHiajte of the bowels set in, resulting in death, which was due primarily to | turns. Tho jury returned a verdict accordingly, adding a rider that they ivere of opinion that the husband should have been informed of the intention to perform the operation.
