THE LYCEUM.

HAYWARD'S PICTURES

' There seems little reason to doubt that Hay ward's Pictures are to have a lor;g and successful run in their new home, the Lyceum. Last evening there v/as another largo audience,' and the general opinion was that the Lyceum was in every way a fine little theatre. The programme submitted was a. splendid one., and well worth going a long way to sec. " The Volcanoes in Java " v-as particularly interesting, giving a fine idea of the thermal activity of the island. Another educational film was one depicting " Mahomedans at Home." Iz was very interesting in every way. The perfection with which dirigible balloons have been brought was shown, a dirigible being seen sailing about at a, great height. " The Judgment of Solomon" was a gem which deserved the loud applause accorded it. A number of intensely interesting dramatics were put on, including " Captured by Scouts," " Dreadnought to the Rescue," " Captain Moustache " and " The False Oath." The comic pictures moved the audience to lou dlaughter. The programme, which will be repeated this evening, should not be missed. A matinee will be given on Saturday afternoon.
