THE WEATHER.
(Per Press Association.! WELLINGTON, June 26. The barometer has risen except in the north, and stoutherly windfe have prevailed and' increased generally in force. The ■weather has been cold, squally, and showery. Present indications are m for southerly and south-easterly winds, to gale, but with decreasing energy shortly; cold and changeable weather probable, / with heavy showers, especially on the east coast of the North Island. Barometer rising everywhere.
