FEILDING SALE.
N.Z. Loun and Mercantile Agency Co.. Ltd., report: At Feilding on Friday wo had a heavy yarding of sheep and a fair entry of cattle. Medium hoggets sold well, but good hoggets did notmake late values. Breeding ewes were in strong demand and sold well. We effected a total clearance at the following prices:—
Sheep: Medium lambs, 14s. od. to 15s. Id.; trood lambs, 15s Bd. to 16s. 6d.; ewe lambs, 15s. 4d.; store ewes, Bs. Bd.; forward ewes, 15s. 3d.; fat 2tooth ewes 19s. to 205.; mixed fat sheep, 18s. 3d.; fat ewes, 18s. lOd. to 195.; light fat weihers, 21s. 9d.; ewes with Romney rams. 245.; ewes with S.D. rams, 235. 3d. On account T. A. Smith, Esq., ewes with Romney rams 265. 6d. Cattle: W«\aner heifers, £2 55.; weaner steers. £2 Ss.; cowsi n calf £3 55.; forward cows, £4 2s. 6d.; fat and forward bullocks, £9; stags, £4.
Dalgety and Company, Ltd., Palmerston North, report- having a good entry of sheep and a small yarding • of cattle at' their Feilding sale'on the 26th mst. The demand for sheep was not quite so keen as at the sale the previoxis week, but we managed to clear the whole of our entry at the following prices:— Small mixed lambs, lls. 6d., lls. 7d.; small 2-tooth wethers, 17s. 6d. ;-aged empty ewes. 13s. Id.; fat lambs, -l6s. 2d., 16s. 6d. to 18s., for a pen of woolly; forward wethers to 20s. 3d.; mixed age ewes in lamb, 18s. to 18s. 9d.; fat ewes. 19s. 2d. to 19s. 4d. j springing heifers, £7 10s.
