A fin© new programme was screened at. His Majesty's Theatre last night. Every item was well received by a large house. '<Tho Witness to the Will," is one of the best Edison dramas produced by that famous company. It is teeming vrith dramatic interest, and is acted superbly by a company of actors who ara all well known. Major Thorndyke, after leaving a small income to his son Belden, whoi»e wild ways have embittered him. leaves the bulk of his fortune to the grandniece Marjorie. On the Major's death the will is found to ha-ve been stolen and Belden comes into Ihe whole of the money. He asks Marprie to marry him. but she refuses and goes to the city to work. While there an old servant, who witnessed the missing will .and who saw Belden reading it, proves a good friend, and, despite. Belden 1 s attempt to murder him, restores the fortune to Marjorie and her sweeiheart. Mention must be ibade of the other part of the programme, the Warwick (Jhconiele. "A Treacherous Bi.val,"' an exciting Western tale'j ','Sinks' Beard," Edison melodrama? "Golf and the Bonnet." comedy; "Too many Johnnies." Lubin comedy; "In Upper Egypt," scenic. The whole programme will thus be s>een to be^full of variety, and as- each item stands for quality, the usual large audience may be expected, again this evening. Book seats at the Dresden.
