B.S.A. AND TRIUMPH SWEEP THE BOARD IN BOTH ISLANDS. We do not attach any great degree of importance to the many racing successes of Triumph and B.S.A. Motorcycles, except in so far as such successes demonstrate reliability and consistency under strenuous service conditions. We do not sell them as racing machines. Wo know they are capable of wonderful performances over the roughest country in the Dominion, as witness Mr. G. B. * Brown's still unbroken Christchurch to Kajkoura and back record, made on a Triumph, and the phenomenal back-blocks and mountain tour made by Messrs Brown and D. Y. Rennie on B.S.A. motor-cycles through Westland and Marlborough a week or so ago. Still, racing performances have their-value and we are content to submit the bare results of the racing the other Saturday, to take one day. At Warrington Beach, Dunedin. under the auspices of the Otago" M.C-C. the programme resulted pjs follows: —Two miles scratch: B.S.A. 1, Triumph 2; Two miles handicap: B.S.A 1, Triumph 2; Ten miles handicap: Triumph 1. B.S.A. 2; Four mile side-car race: Triumph 1, B.S.A. 2 and fastest time. At the Manawatu M.C.S.'s track races at Palmerston North, the results were: — Five mile side-car race: B.S.A. 1; Five mile novice: Triumph 1: 0n c mile: Triumph 1 and fastest time; Ten miles championship : Triumph 1 »nd 2: Eight miles open: Triumph 1; One mile consolation: Triumph 1. These results were made in competition with twin cylinder machines of far higher engine power. We can give immediate delivery of B.S.A. and Triumph motor-eye-: lesi ADAMS.
