At the last meeting of the Walmarino A.P.H. and I. Association, Mr. J. Turnbull was elected secretary. Mr. Menzies, engineer to the 'Waimea County Council, has been appointed engineer to the Kairanga County Council, says a Press Association message from Palmerston North.
Cr. J. C. Richardson has been reappointed as the Wanganui Borough Council’s representative on the Wanganui Girls’ College board of governors.
A London cable announces the death of Lord Armaghdalc. Deceased was hon. secretary and whip of the Irish Unionist Party from 1901 to 1916 and chairman till 1918.
Mr. G. H. Stephenson, manager of the Bank of New Zealand at Patea, is retiring at the end of this month, and he will reside in New Plymouth, j Mr. Stephenson win be succeeded at Patea by Mr. Delargey, of the Napier branch of the Bank of New Zealand.
Mr R. R. Wright, who for some considerable time has been attached to the staff at the Wanganui Court, left yesterday to take up dnties at Christchurch. He is succeeded by Mr Fraser, formerly Clerk of tho Court at Lawrence.
