HIS MAJESTY’S MUSGROVE CELEBRITY VAUDEVILJJS. The third of Murgroves’ Celebrity Vaudeville Companies opens to-night for a short season of three nights and a matinee, under the direction of Mr. H. A. Shepard. Musgroves' Vaudeville has had a gratifying reception wherever shown in New Zealand and Wanganui theatre goers have untnistaknbiy shown their appreciation of the former companies. The company commencing to-night is said to more than uphold the reputation already gained. Renie Risino, the girl with the £29,000 legs, is at the head of the bill, frosh from triumphs in London, where she appeared in the “Music Boz” revue. She is a singer and a dancer with an international reputation and has quickly won her way into the hearts of New Zealand audiences. Carr Lynn, is famed as an animal mimie and said to be the world's greatest artist in his particular line. He presents .two extremely humorous items. ’’Fun in a Farmyard” and "On the Tiles with Thomas.” Clare Solly is an Australian contralto with a voice of rare quality, and has a treat in store for music lovers. The Royal Haratongans are a quintet of Cook Islanders, who in imitation of the Hawaiians, play guitars, mandolines and ukuleles with a rhythmical swing that is catching They wear the laie of Hawaii and one ot the party gives a graceful imitation of the hula dance. Guilly and Jeanny, two French artists, will delight audiences with their remarkable balancing feats on the top of a miniature Eiffel Tower, which is a blaze of coloured lights. The Alton Sisters arc well to the front in their particular line that of balancing on
the silver wire and this act will be sure of a hearty reception. Belle Onra is a trapezist of exceptional skill and will startle the audience with her finished performance. Don Stuart is the high and mighty magician, he is 6ft. 4in. in height and as a magician is in the very front rank of his profession. Dallas Frazer is a particularly well-finished artist on the ‘cello and will delight music levers with her rendering of classical music. The box plans are open at H. I. Jones and Son’s.
