AFRICAN-CAMBRIDGE MATCH LONDON, June 10. South Africa won by 125 runs. South Africa, in its second innings, made 179. Meyer took five wickets for 79, White three for 30. Cambridge, in its second innings, scored 197, White not c.ut 53. Carter took five wickets for 64, Nupen 3 for -12. A feature of the innings was Carter’s bowling. He took four wickets with 18 balls. Nupen took three with nine. With three down for 92 runs, wickets fell rapidly until White and Bagnell became associated. The pair made a splendid ninth wicket stand, adding 67 in 38 minutes. COUNTY MATCHES LONDON, June 10. Yorkshire scored 35. Parkin took three 15, and Tyldesley six for 38. Lancashire won a great victory by 2-i runs. Yorkshire’s only lower totals have been 26 against Surrey at the Oval in 1909, and 32 against Notts in 1876.
