In the junior cup match bctwccW Marton and HunterviHe, at Huntcrville, on Wednesday, Marton won by 15 points to nil. From a penalty Wilson kicked a goal and also scored a try. Konner scored two tries in succession, which were not converted. Towards the cud of the game Rivera scored a try, which was not converted* Mr. A. Gordon was the referee. The Bulls-Turakina junior match* at Bulls, resulted in a win for Bulls by 15 points to 3. Mr. A Sims controlled the game. Tokorangi juniors defeated Rata by, 3 points to nil. Marton Fourths beat Bulls, at Bulls, by 16 pointe to 6. Atkinson and Pommelt scored for the winners. This was the First occasion os which the teams met for the Hoiking Cup. Marton now become the holders. Mr. E. O. Gaisford was referee. In the To Kawau Union trial match at Sanson on Wednesday between tha Blacks and Whites, the latter won by 5 points to 3. The referees for Saturday’s cup matches are as follow: HunterviHe v. Marton, at Marton— Mr. A. Sims. Rata v. Turakina, at Rata—Mr. As Hunt. • RANGITIKEI REFEREES* ASSOCIATION. At a meeting of the above association on Wednesday evening, it was decided to hold a conference of Wanganui. Taihape, and Rangitikei referees in Marton at an early date to discuss the recent decisions at the New Zealand Rcfereeea’ Association held at Wellington. At the conclusion of the meeting, Mr. E. C. Gaisford; in a happy speech, presented Mr. C. Sutcliff with a salad bowl in view of his approaching marriage. Mr. Sutcliff intimated that it was his intention to referee again in the North, where he intended to reside.
