(Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, June 11. Entries were large to-day, and allround there was a good market. Store Ewes.—There was an improvement in all classes, notably for wethers, which were up by Is per head, but all old ewe lambs were likewise better. Good two-toothed half-bred ewes in lamb, 41s; sound-mouthed crossbred ewes, in lamb, 375; four, six and eighttoothed crossbred ewes in lamb, 33s 6d; two, four, six and eight-toothed threc,quarterbred ewes in lamb, 30s 6d; goodconditioned crossbred empty ewes, 20s Id; good-conditioned aged owes in lamb, 22s sd; aged ewes in lamb, 16s to 20s 9d; four and six-toothed threequarter bred wethers, 35s 9d; four and six-toothed halfbred wethers. 33s to 33s 7d; four, six and eight-toothed halfbred wethers, 33s to 33s sd; lowerconditioned four and six-toothed wethers, 30s 3d to 325; full two and fourtoothed half bred wethers, 275; crossbred mixed sexes Jambs. 22s 3d to 255; crossbred owe lambs, 25s 9d to 27s lid; crossbred wether lambs, 21s 9d to 23s JOd; shorn Romney cross wether lambs, 20s 6<l; half-bred wether lambs, 22s Id to 23s 2d.
Fat Lambs.—A small yarding of 1200, and a very keen sale. Good 42’s and under made ll}d to inferior sorts being unchanged. Extra prime lambs, 395; a few show, 46s 9d; prime, 35s to 38s; medium, 31s to 345; light, 26s to 30s.
Fat Sheep.—A heavy yarding, and an irregular sale, but generally last week’s values held, though over the middle portion of the sale values were easier. Extra prime wethers, 495; a few special, 595; prime, 40s (id to 455; medium, 36s 6d to 40s; light, 30s to 365; extra prime owes, 41s; prime, 33s to 365; medium, 28s 6d to 325; 1 igjit, 24s 6d to 28s; aged. 18s to 23s 6d. Fat Cattle.—A fairly heavy yarding of 420 head. Generally, the market was a shade better than last week. Primo beef made from 30s to 33s per 100 lbs.; medium, 26s 6d to 29s 6d; light, 22s to 265; and rough down to 12s 6d; extra prime stores, 17s; prime, £l2 5s to £l5; medium, £lO to £l2; light, £4 15s to £9 10s; extra prime heifers, £lO 2s 6d; prime, £6 15s to £9; ordinary, £4 to £6 10s; extreme prime cows, £lO 7s (id; prime, £6 to £9; medium, £54 15s to £5 15s; aged inferior, £2 15s to £4.
Vealers. —An overflow entry. Good calves sold firmly. Good runners, £5 12s fid; good vealers, £3 to £4; good calves, £1 10s to £? 15s; small, 5s to 20s. Store Cattle.—A fair sized entry. Potters excited a demand for old cows. Best cows, £2 to £2 17s fid; medium, £1 10s to £1 17s 6d; inferior. £1 to £1 ss. Fat Pigs.—A medium entry and a good sale, quite on fours with last week. Choppers, £3 to £3 10s; light baconers, £3 15s to £4 10s; heavy, £5 to £5 15s; extra heavy, £fi 9s (average price per lb., 8d to BJd). Light porkers, £2 3s to £2 10s; heavy, £2 15* to £3 10s (average price per lb., 8d to Bid).
Store Pigs.—A small entry. Improvement for fairly well-grown animals. Weancrs sold at late rates. Half growns were as follows: Small weaners, 7s to 10s; good, to 16s; small stores, 20s to 255; medium, 33s to 10s; large, to 51s.
