BOYCOTT OF AMERICAN GOODS

JAPANESE ORGANISATION. TOKIO, June 10. Representatives of the Kikisha Society, an anti-American organisation, principally composed of stud ents, visited retail stores, advocating a boycott of American goods. The majority of the managers agreed to the principle of the boycott. The manager of the largest depart - mental store angered the students by declining to give a definite answer, because it was a joint stock concern, and he was unable to pledge the shareholders. Several managers warned the agitators of the danger of an American counter-boycott’ which Japan could not afford.
