Mr. Edward Newman, C.M.G., actingchairman of the Government Railways Board, is visiting Wanganui. The Hon. R. Masters, Minister of Education, is a guest at Spriggens’ Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. Frank L. Purnell, of the Church of Christ, will spend next week in Wellington, where Mr. Purnell will give four addresses at the Wellington district youth rally of the Church of Christ. Guests registered at Spriggens’ Hotel include: Messrs. H. J. Fourneau and son, C. Kirkley (Hastings); Mr. Jas. Kruse (Havelock North); Mr. E. Holt (Hunterville); Mr. R. B. Schultze (Taihape); Miss G. Hillier, Mr. and Mrs. F. Graham, Mr. L. Thomas (Wellington).
